Engraving on the filler plug for my 4 speed trans…..
An egg that I did to celebrate the union of two souls which have endured the passing of time & still goes on.
I got her heads back and installed them. Beeker from RGB Classics in Wainwright did a nice job of installing my high performance valves & springs. Also, due to an equipment problem, I got him to install my new exhaust flanges from FLO Headworks. He did a flowtest for me so that I would have a baseline to set up my carb & exhaust. Looking good. Won’t be torquing them until I get the valves set so I can double-check my clearances. Her oil pump from TP Engineering is now installed after some problems with the operation that locked up when tightened to the company specs.
She has her wheels on now, but some engine parts are still being worked on. The back fender has some custom fitting to be completed yet also.
I bought a kit to change the throwout bearing in my transmission. I like the older bearing better than the new one. I have changed a few of these, but this is the first time I needed to change the kicker clutch. The new clutch is smaller and designed to fit snuggly inside the bearing. The newer style is on the right and the upgrade to the older one with the kicker clutch is on the left. Also changed the pushrod as they are different.
