The lower legs on my front end

Motorcycle parts are generally stripped of the chrome before engraving because chrome if very hard to cut and also, if it is not a really good plating it will chip & peel so to detract from the art of the design.

I opted to cut through the chrome on these for three reasons, One: I wanted to experience the act of cutting the chrome, Two: this is a daily rider which didn’t require a perfect job, & Three: I had something to show potential customers the pitfalls of trying to cut through the chrome. Most people don’t understand what is meant when the chrome problem is explained, but if they see the problems they understand better.
